The REI-15 Local Organizing Committee would like to invite all the registered participants and accompanying persons for an informal welcome reception with buffet at The Old Courtyard - Palazzo Bo from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Visit to the Scrovegni Chapel

During the Conference, the REI-15 Participants and Companions will have the possibility to enjoy a free visit of the Scrovegni Chapel after 7:00 p.m. on Aug. 31 or Sept. 2, 2009. Excursion

Tuesday Sept. 1, 2009
Villa Pisani - Strà A combined bus and boat trip to discover some of the Veneto Villas linked to famous names such as Palladio and Tiepolo for a guided tour of the interiors. "Il Burchiello" (a typical wooden boat of the 18th century) cruises along the Brenta River. The excursion is highly recommended from the historical, cultural and artistic point of view. Along the canal we can admire more than fifty villas, once summer residences of the Venetian Nobility. While the cruise takes us through some really beautiful spots, we can appreciate the high technological value of the engineering work carried out in order to create this ship canal, allowing the development of civilisation over the years. The excursion includes the guided tour of  two of the most important mansions, Villa Pisani and Villa Foscari Malcontenta.
